A shimmering warm summer sun presses upward from behind Crested Butte Mountain as a playful collection of wildflowers rise to meet the day. The brevity of the season beckons all that grows to make haste! Each year during the summer season, there is an urgency to the extraordinary proliferation of color that blankets the valley floor and turns mountainsides green. I’ve lived here long enough to feel it too. A warm season that roughly spans a mere eight weeks, I savor and rejoice in moments like this!
