Oil on Canvas, 22” x 28”

On this day, as with so many, I found myself keenly aware of the raw, untamed beauty of the Colorado Rocky Mountains. I sensed the vast open space of the valley floor and stood amazed as the iconic peak of Crested Butte Mountain pierced the expanse of a crisp blue sky day. Yet, there was something more intimate. The still waters of a hidden pool tucked away amidst the evergreens. A splash of color as a parade of Lupine seemed to be meandering it’s way through it all on route to a more pressing engagement. Nature’s narrative!
